Deposit-free 14.2 kg or 5 kg LPG connection provided in the name of an adult woman member of an eligible poor household. The central government bears the security deposit of the cylinder (₹1,250), pressure regulator (₹150), LPG hose (₹100), domestic gas consumer card (₹25), and inspection charges. Beneficiaries receive their first 14.2 kg LPG cylinder refill and a hotplate (gas stove) completely free of cost. In addition, targeted subsidy of ₹300 per 14.2 kg cylinder for up to 12 refills per year is credited directly via DBT.

Applicant must be an adult woman (18+). No existing LPG connection in the same household from any Oil Marketing Company (IOCL, BPCL, HPCL). Must belong to one of the following categories: SC/ST households, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY) beneficiaries, Antyodaya Anna Yojana (AAY), Forest Dwellers, Most Backward Classes (MBC), Tea and Ex-Tea Garden Tribes, river island residents, or households under the 14-point declaration.

How to Apply

1. Visit the official Ujjwala 2.0 portal (https://pmuy.gov.in) and click on "Apply for New Ujjwala 2.0 Connection". 2. Select your preferred Oil Marketing Company distributor (Indane, Bharatgas, or HP Gas). 3. Register on the OMC portal using your mobile number and select connection type "PMUY Connection". 4. Enter applicant Aadhaar number, complete OTP authentication, and enter household address. 5. Enter family members names and Aadhaar numbers as recorded on the ration card. 6. Fill in bank account details for DBT subsidy transfers. 7. Submit application online or submit printout with documents to the nearest LPG distributor. 8. Distributor conducts field deduplication via OMC central database and releases the connection upon approval.
