Must hold an individual bank or post office savings account. Age at entry must be between 18 and 50 years (coverage continues up to age 55 provided annual renewal premium is paid). Aadhaar is the primary KYC for the bank account. One person can enroll only through a single bank account across India (duplicate policies are cancelled with forfeit of premium).

How to Apply

1. Download PMJJBY enrollment cum auto-debit consent form from https://jansuraksha.gov.in or access internet/mobile banking app of your bank. 2. Fill in account details, Aadhaar number, nominee details, and sign the auto-debit authorization. 3. Submit to the bank branch or submit online via NetBanking/Mobile Banking under "Social Security Schemes". 4. Ensure sufficient balance (₹436) in the savings account for deduction of premium. 5. The bank issues a Certificate of Insurance (COI) and records the policy under the partner life insurer.
